Mike's home!

Well, my younger brother Mike just got home from his mission yesterday. We are definitely glad to have him back. This is everyone at the airport.

Annicka loves to share her popsicles with Park. Park loves it too.

Two days ago I had put Annie and Park down for naps. I could hear Park in his room playing and I figured he would fall asleep eventually. Well, he started to cry and so I went in to make sure his leg hadn't gotten stuck between the crib rails again. He hadn't, but he was sitting in his crib and he had poop EVERYWHERE. All over his arms and legs and face and all over the rails of the crib and of course on all of his bedding. Apparently it had leaked out the side of his diaper the way he was sitting. The funny part, if you can call it that, is that yesterday he had diaper rash on his face. He looked like he had a red goatee.

One funny day

Well, Park's Hive's are better now...after we got some steroids from the doctor to work in tandem with the Benadryll(sp?). Annicka has been pretty funny the last few days.

A few weeks ago I found a gray hair...my first one, and Annicka was in the bathroom with me when it happened. Well, a couple of days ago I was switching the laundry over. Annicka walked into the laundry room holding up a chunk of hair from her head and said, "Mommy, Annicka have gray hair!"

Later that day my next door neighbor, Summer, came and knocked on the door to ask a question . As soon as the door was open Annicka bolted outside (as usual). We were talking and half watching what she was doing. She picked up their hose that had a sprayer on it. Apparently the water was on and she squeezed the handle. The pressure from the spray knocked her off of her feet. We were laughing SO hard. Poor kid. She has such a mean mom.

HIVES

Yesterday morning Park woke up with hives everywhere. He is acting perfectly normal, but he looks like he has to be itchy. I called the pediatrician and they said it might be something viral that he is having a reaction to, since there isn't anything that I can think of that I have given him new to eat in the last week. All we can do is give him Benadryl and wait it out. Unless of course something worse happens like swollen joints, fever or trouble breathing. The sad thing is that these pictures were taken only a few minutes ago and he has been on the benadryl for 36 hours. No signs of improvement yet, the poor kid. I'm sure everything will be okay though.

Mom & Coke

The First Annual Chamberlain vs. Chamberlain Contest and Fourth of July Barbecue (held on the seventh) with some Golfing involved Extravaganza

Well, the day started off with most of the boys and possibly a couple girls playing a round of 18. At three o' clock we met at Uncle Paul and Aunt Rosie's house from some good food and lots of fun! Isn't it funny that of the 66 pictures that we took that day, this is the ONLY picture that Scott took of me? MEN!

They had a sand box and a volleyball net set up and even a ping pong table. We had a hula hooping contest and another game where if you could through the ping-pong ball into all six cups without messing up then you got to keep the five dollars in the last one. Only Jarren was able to do it. We sure had a lot of fun! Next year it will be at grandma Chamberlain's house. Thanks Paul and Rosie!

Our Independence Day Mishap

We didn't really have a mishap...Scott just wanted me to write that. Our July 4th was pretty low key. We invaded the neighbor's and lit and watched fireworks with them. Park was asleep at home across the street (hence no pics of him) and Annicka had a good time playing with the sparklers and watching the fireworks.

Family Home Evening

For family home eveving this last week we went up the canyon and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. We sure had a good time!

Annicka LOVED throwing rocks in the river.
