Room Sharing

Well, since we've got a new baby on the way we decided it was a good time to move Park into Annicka's bedroom. He's been there for about a week, sleeping, and today I finally got all of his clothes and other things moved in and the room arranged. The only downfall to them sharing a room is that they inevitably wake each other up in the morning and keep each other up a little later at night. But they really do love it.

Pictures

Scott is home and I was finally able to download pictures that we have been taking recently. Here's a sample. This is Annie right after her cast came off last Monday.
Just a few hours after getting her cast off Annicka decided she wanted to get daddy's sunglasses off of the table. Instead of using the chair, like she normally does, she thought it would be a good idea to stand on her big wheel trike to get them down. She had just gotten them on when the bike went right out from under her and she face planted it on the floor, breaking daddy's glasses and giving herself a few scratches. I don't know what I'll do with myself if she re-brakes her arm!
Park is at this point where he absolutely refuses to eat, unless he can feed himself, nevermind how messy he gets.
What a cute kid!
The other day Annicka brought in the mail for me. I found her in the livingroom reading the food ads for Smith's very intently.

We've had lots of fun swimming now that it is finally warm enough!

The Cast is Off!

Well, Annicka got her cast off and her pins out yesterday morning! I would have some pictures, but Scotty kifed the USB cord that hooks up to the camera and he is in Muncie, IN until Friday. (Did I just use the word kife? I haven't said that since I was...well, I don't know since when.) So pictures will have to wait. She's doing great and likes to show me that she can bend her arm now. We even went swimming this morning because I have been promising to let her for a long time. The doctor yesterday even told her she needed to go swimming a lot this summer so her elbow could get stronger. He was an amazing doctor, by the way. His name is Alan Stotts and his bedside manner is great. He talked to Annicka like she was an adult, without using big words and her arm looks perfect in her xrays that they took yesterday. We have been really blessed throughout this whole process when it came to doctors and when it came to Annie healing well and her being such a trooper. She had a few melt down moments, but not nearly as many as I would have thought, and she has been super brave. What a lucky mom I am to have such a great kid!

In case you didn't already know...

Well, here we are. Bean #3. Most of you know this already, and today we had our first doctor's appointment. My goal was not to tell anyone until after the first doctor's appt at least. And I couldn't! If I saw you or even talked to you for a prolonged period on the phone, it came up. You'd think that since this is our third baby that I'd be able to wait! No. My dad and his wife were able to wait until she was 16 weeks, Scott's sister Kaylene the same. Here I am, barely 8 weeks and almost everyone knows! Oh well! What can I say? We are very excited to welcome another child into our little family. The baby (that's right, Rachel, just one baby) is looking good and my due date is January 14th.
