New Hair Cut

Well, I did it! I took the plunge. I've always wanted to try a really short haircut. Just to see what it would look like. I finally decided that even if it looked horrible it would grow out eventually. Here is the end result. The trick will be being able to repeat the styling that the stylist did, or at least to make it look good. What do you think?

First Talk

Annicka gave her first talk in Primary on Sunday. She did an awesome job! I thought she might get a little nervous and not want to talk once she got up to the pulpit, but that was not the case! She talked about how Heavenly Father and Jesus talk to the prophets and then the prophets talk to us through the scriptures and through General Conference. We were so proud! This is a picture of Heavenly Father and Jesus (it got a little wet) that Annie drew. The things sticking out of Jesus' head with dots on it are supposed to be His hands with "owies".
And this one is of President Monson and the scriptures. It kind of looks like him, right?

Hallelujah!

Well, today I took the final for my History of the Family in Europe class. I feel pretty good about it too. I mostly feel good because it is DONE! If you heard me talk about it, you'll understand why. For those of you who didn't, it was a hard class with LOTS of extremely academic reading. It had 13 lessons and each lesson was made up of five or six questions that I had to write at least half a page single space answer to. So essentially I was writing a five to six page paper every week or two, as well as reading 50-80 pages of the most boring stuff you've ever read. Normally I'm a reader, I love to read, but this reading was really hard to get through. But it is done! Now on to bigger and better classes! Hallelujah!

Happy Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day Scott and our neighbor Adam got together and cohorted on a plan. Scott's mom came to watch all of our kids at their house while they cooked us some delicious homemade pizza, heartshaped obviously, at our house. We then put all the kids to bed around 7:45 and then watched a great chick flick that just came out called "Becoming Jane", along with mom. We played some canasta while we watched. What more can you ask for on Valentine's day than to have your husband cook you dinner and watch a movie with you that under no other circumstances he would otherwise watch?

Battle Wound

Well, I've been playing Church Basketball for the last month or so and this last week I took a really good hit.

FHE

Scott had another creative idea for Family Home Evening last week. He pulled out the cushions on the couches and pushed them together to make an awesome fort. Then we pulled out the balls and had a heyday.

Tagged...Me and My Valentine

How long have you been together? Almost six years...married for five and a half exactly on Valentine's day.
How long did you date? Three weeks before we got engaged, we were engaged for three and a half months. I don't have the excuse that Lindsay does about being friends for a long time before either...we knew each other for three weeks! Looking back on it, CRAZY! I got pretty lucky that I didn't marry a crazy man...well...maybe I did. I have not once regretted it though.
How old is he? 33
Who eats more? Me, Scott eats like a bird.
Who said "I love you" first? I did...but in my defense he had already been talking marriage.
Who is taller? Scott
Who sings better? I'd have to say me, but only because Scott refuses to sing, even at church. He does have a good voice though.
Who is smarter? Hmmmm...Scott has definitely got me when it comes to computers, but I feel like I'm pretty smart too, just in other areas.
Who does the laundry? Me
Who does the dishes? We both do.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Scott, if you are standing and looking at the bed, I do if you're facing out from it.
Who pays the bills? Me
Who mows the lawn? Me. I do like doing it though, it's good exercise.
Who cooks dinner? Me. Man, I do everything!
Who is more stubborn? I'd like to say that we are both pretty flexible and willing to look at the other's point of view. But if I have to choose, I might have to say me.
Who kissed who first? Scott kissed me...on our first date I might add, that guy just doesn't waste any time.
Who asked who out? Scott asked me.
Who is more sensitive? Well, Scott doesn't cry, and I cry at the drop of a hat. However, Scott is a pretty sensitive guy, just don't let him hear you say that. I'd have to say though that I am more sensitive, just being a woman.
Who has more friends? Hmmm...I don't know, we're about equal.
Who has more sibilings? We have the same, if we count biological siblings. Scott has seven and I have five whole and two half siblings. I do, however have three step siblings.
Who wears the pants? Is that even a question? Scott thinks he does and I really do.
Who are you tagging? I don't tag.
