Our Independence Day Mishap

We didn't really have a mishap...Scott just wanted me to write that. Our July 4th was pretty low key. We invaded the neighbor's and lit and watched fireworks with them. Park was asleep at home across the street (hence no pics of him) and Annicka had a good time playing with the sparklers and watching the fireworks.

Family Home Evening

For family home eveving this last week we went up the canyon and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. We sure had a good time!

Annicka LOVED throwing rocks in the river.

Well, we'd have written sooner, but we've gotten pretty busy the last couple weeks. I started my first online class...Student Development 100 (it's required to start independent study). So I've been working on that whenever I have a chance and we have been spending lots of time outside swimming. I think today is the first day that we didn't go outside because I decided it was time to catch up on the house work.

Park has cut another tooth and is army crawling everywhere as fast as he can. Which is pretty fast. He has also started pulling himself up on his bouncy chair and car seat, since they are low enough to the ground. He can sit by himself now, but he never wants to. If he is being held he wants to stand and if not he wants to be moving around.

Annicka makes us laugh everyday with her little antics. Her favorite thing to do is have mommy and daddy bonk their heads on the door every night when we go into her room to say family prayer. She has started to say prayers by herself now, without any help. She has also started thanking Heavenly Father for Matthew, Carter and Mason (her cousins) every night. She also loves to play with Park, especially since he is moving around now. He'll crawl after her everywhere and she'll say, "come on, Park, let's go!"

Lots of Babies

Well, Park finally cut his first tooth day before yesterday. He's been teething for a while, which means not much solid sleep and as soon as he cut that tooth he slept for ten hours the next night. Which we (meaning I) were grateful for.

Well, there have been lots of babies born around here...well in our family at least. Steve and Jessica had their baby boy (after two girls) on the 23rd of May. Kaden Harris. Scott's sister Lori had her little girl (after three boys) Avery Rae yesterday morning. And my sister Julie had her little boy (their first child) this morning in Italy. Thankfully everything went well for both. We were really nervous about Julie having a baby in Italy where they are about 20 or so years behind us in medicine. She was in labor for 23 hours though...which seems weird for our family. My moms were all less than 8 hours and mine have all been 8 hours and less too. Sorry, Julie...you didn't get the right genes. They don't have a name for him yet though.

The Spurs won game one of the Finals last night and we all had a BBQ at gma Chamberlain's house last night and enjoyed the game together. SPUUUUUUURRRRRRRRS!

Well, those are the things that have been occuping our thoughts lately. Love you all!

Lovin' summer!

Today was Park's first experience with swimming...and boy did he have a GREAT time.
Can you tell he is kicking his legs like crazy?
Annicka had a good time with brother too...this was the first time that she enjoyed splashing around...especially splashing the other kids in the pool.
Here we all are with the neighbor boys that Annicka routinely plays with.

My friend Liz tagged me and I thought it would be kind of fun for all you who read my blog to get to know me a little bit better.

What were you doing ten years ago? Ten years ago...I was fourteen and in eighth grade. I was probably trying to convince my parents to let me go to East High for high school. I went to West High in seventh and eighth grade for a special program and I wanted to switch.

What were you doing one year ago? I was pregnant with Park and remembering why I don't love being pregnant. It's totally worth it, don't get me wrong.

Happy Memorial Day!

Today all of us that were in town went to visit Grandpa Chamberlain's grave. We all had a good time, especially the kids who were running around like crazy and having fun together. We think that's the way Dad would want it.
Scott wanted to put a golf ball and tee on Dad's grave. Golfing became a favorite of his when he and mom moved to Utah.
Here we all are (minus scott, obviously)!
What a happy boy!
This one was taken a few days ago when I gave Annicka and Park a bath together for the first time.Annicka just LOVES to ride her bike. She thinks she is the COOLEST!
