Annicka

Lately Annicka has realized how much she likes to tell people what to do. We've had many conversations that go like this:

Annicka comes in crying..."Mom! Everyone is being mean to me!"
Mom: What are they doing that is being so mean?
A: No one is listening to me!
M: Wow, that stinks! What do you think you should do about it?
A: I tried asking nicely but still no one listens!
After a couple of suggestions that she then shoots down I go outside or downstairs or wherever to see if I can figure out what is really happening and usually all the other kids are playing and having a great time. Annicka wants to do something different but no one else wants to.
M: Looks like everyone else is having fun but you. Looks like you should try playing with them instead of being bossy...

We learn by repitition right? Maybe one day she'll learn?

Sometimes though the kids do go along with her ideas. Lately she likes to do clubs. One was a holiday club where they make decorations for the different holidays.
This is the latest of Annicka's clubs. The "exercise club." After running a lap around the block they did stretches in the driveway.
Even Indie was getting into it periodically.

You should have seen Annicka up there..."Okay, now stretch your arms this way!"

We  have a leader on our hands, she just has to learn how to get people to do what she wants without being bossy about it. :) Man we love this girl!

Connor is the exact same way. Must be an oldest child thing.
