I am a handy woman!

On Friday it was my goal to clean out the garage. When I went out to start, I was looking at all of the things on the floor and thought, "I really need some shelves." Scott had bought some wood for the purpose, but he didn't get to it before he had his surgery. And I wasn't going to wait another couple of weeks until Scott could do it. So right then and there I decided I was going to make the shelves myself! I figured out how I wanted it to work and I did all the measuring and pulled out Scott's chop saw and nail gun and went to work. When I was ready my neighbor Summer came over and helped me hold it up while I screwed it into the wall. I actually made two shelves, there is a larger one standing against the wall that will eventually get put up also, when Scott is well enough. Summer and I decided it was too big for us and to let the men do it. This is the finished product!

Let's go fly a kite!

Saturday was a perfect day for kite flying.
Park flew his kite for all of about 45 seconds before he let it go, here he is running away from it.
The kids all watching me fly Park's kite.

Easter Sunday

Easter was a good one for us this year. These are the kids getting their Easter baskets that morning.
Mom! Take a picture of this!
Doesn't that look just say, "Thanks for letting me eat chocolate for breakfast!"
After conference was over we went to my Grandparents chapel for dinner. My uncle, who has ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease just got a new wheel chair and was giving all the kids a ride.

We are so grateful for the plan of our Heavenly Father and for Jesus Christ who made it possible for all of us to overcome death and to one day be together again as a family.

Easter Egg Hunt

This last week we had a ward Easter Egg hunt. The kids loved it. Scott was at a Young Mens Stake basketball tournament so he wasn't able to make it.
Can you tell that Park didn't want me to take his picture?
Indie totally knew what to do with the eggs!

BE FOREWARNED! SURGERY PICTURES BELOW!

Okay, apparently I needed to have put up a disclaimer before the last post. Our friend JP tells us that the pictures were disgusting. I didn't think they were too bad. I've seen some pretty grusome surgeries before and I didn't think a couple of pictures of the inside of Scott's knee were too bad, but I guess I was wrong. So...I know it's a little late, but here is the disclaimer. =)

A new ACL

About a month ago Scott hurt his knee playing church ball. (It's always church ball, isn't it?) He went to the instacare and they said it was probably sprained and to give it a couple of weeks. If it didn't feel better then he should see a specialist. Well, last Friday he saw the specialist. He was almost positive Scott had torn his ACL. Surgery was necessary. So Tuesday Scott went in to Altaview hospital and got himself a new ACL, as well as having to have his meniscus (the pad inbetween bones) repaired, it was torn in three different places. Here are some of those fun pictures from the surgery!

Before, with no ACL and some of the damage.
All cleaned up and his new cadaver ACL.
