Writer's block

Not that I claim to be much of a writer. Everyone gets it though, right? It's been almost two weeks since our last post and I've been feeling like I should post again, but everytime I sit down, I can't think of anything to write. I'm lame. I wish I had something exiciting to write. I should have something to write, I have two beautiful kids and a great husband. I guess I should just tell what's been going on. General Conference was this last weekend...it was good. I especially liked Elder Holland, Elder Eyring and Elder Bednar's talks. I planted some flower seeds today. That was great fun. What else??? Scott left for Pensacola, Florida today. It'll be nice weather for him. Annicka's bald spot is getting bigger and Park is pushing himself around the room on his back. Ah, well...I'll think of something to write eventually. Until then, this'll have to do...or maybe I'll just have to make Scott write the next one.

Four month appt and bald spots

Well, it doesn't seem as if the short hair cut is working.
Any ideas on how to get her to stop? We're at our witts end.
This last week, Park started rolling over. One morning Scott went in to go get him and he was on his tummy!
Well, today was his four month appointment. He was 12lbs and 13oz. That is now the 20%. His head was 17 inches...that's the 75%. He's still our big head boy. He got some immunizations today too, and he seems to be doing pretty good with them. He's just a happy baby.
His hair seems to be getting lighter too, that and a lot has rubbed off. Gotta love him!

Relapse

Today I had a grief relapse...they come every once in a while. I was at Ned and Rachel's tonight and I stopped at Dad's gravesite on the way home. I think I had the best father-in-law in the world. I have the best mother-in-law in the world. I got Annicka out of the car and left Park inside and we went to go see papa. I always tell Dad how things are going and any stories I have of the kids, but this time it was a little different. I always cry whenever I stop there, but tonight I bawled. I miss him so much. He wasn't even my real father, but he always made me feel like I really was a daughter. Tonight I just told him that I love him and how grateful I am to be his daughter-in-law. I told him I wish I could see him just one more time to say it to him. It was dark and I felt a little like I was talking to it, but you know, I think he heard me. I can't wait to see him again. I left with a peaceful feeling and thinking about how great of a reunion it's going to be. Then I thought about how much greater a reunion with my Savior and my Father in Heaven will be. I left feeling grateful for the knowledge that I have that I will see Ron again, and the knowledge that I have of my Heavenly Father's plan for me and for all of his children. I love you, Dad, both of you.

St. George

Well, this last week Scott had an install in St. George and because he had to drive down there, we got to go with. We had lots of fun in the nice 70-75 degree weather and we spent a lot of time outside. Scott was working most of the time but Annicka and Park and I got to see all of the church history sites down there, like the tabernacle and Brigham Young's winter home, and a few other places too. It was a long week and are glad to be back, but it was a good change of pace.

Here is Annie at the park playing on a slide.
Here we are at the temple!
We went to a place where they found dinosaur tracks in 2000. It was pretty neat.
We went to a family fun center and Annicka got these silly glasses with the tickets she earned.
We had to put a picture of Park in here somewhere...he was always asleep wherever we went. Annicka and Park playing together on the bed.

Here we go again!

Well, I guess it was Park's turn after Annicka got her hair cut. Park has REALLY bad cradle cap. His hair was making it difficult to get all of the scales out and so even though I loved to give him a mohawk, his hair had to be cut for grooming purposes...hair does grow back...right?

Another Haircut

YES! We have a nose picker! Well...the last little while we have had a problem with Annicka. She likes to play with and twist her hair while she sucks her thumb...the problem comes in when we started finding clumps of hair around the house, and bald spots on her head. This was the reason we first cut her hair, just after Christmas. It seemed to help...for a while. Well, in the last week we have found a few more and today after finding two clumps in one day, I took matters into my own hands. I chopped off a good two inches and my heart was thumping the whole time. I didn't want to do it, but something had to be done. It's not the best haircut in the world, but it'll have to do. Hopefully it will be enough. She'll just have to be our little pixie until she is old enough to reason with about pulling her hair out.
This is Aunt Julie, visiting from Italy.
Annie also likes to pray!

Annicka Vs Karin

It's true, Karin kept talking about laying the smack down. But when it came down to launching that giant marble down lane 22 at Jack & Jill's, Annicka flexed with the best. It's the first time we've heard Annicka use 4-letter expletives to explain how good of a time she had! (she is sooooo grown up). Check out the final score, she just wouldn't let up on her Mom.
